Hi , i created a user through ispconfig ,and i want to change the users default home directory. Every time i change it in the passwd file it changes itself back.I understand that this is some script running in the ispconfig.
Can anyone tell me how to correct this or any other way of changing the default dir of a user without encountering this problem.
    Thanks.

You can not change the home directory of a user created with ISPConfig manually.

Thanks for the quick replay. Is there any other method or way to change the default directory of a user? I want the user to login with filezilla in a specific directory to upload images.
    Thanks.

You mean via ftp? If using ProFTPD then change in /etc/proftpd.conf:
    DefaultRoot ~/wanted_directory

But this is only user subdirectory and also systemwide setting. I do not know if anyone is able to setup this for particular accounts.
