Hi. I have a ISPconfig 2 set up as my ns1 and it is working fine. I then have an old server as ns2, slave to ns1, and now I am setting up another ISPconfig 2 as a new ns2 and that shoud not be any problem to. But I also have a ns3 that has ns1 as a slave that I would also change. It shuld not be any problem to make ns1 master and ns3 slave to centralice the domains. But what I would like to do is merge ns2 and ns3 to one server (without changen all ns3-domains at godaddy an nunames and so on). It is possible to have the IP-adresses at the same server but can I have the server to act as both ns2 and ns3 as they only ar going to be slaves at ns1? In ISPconfig ther is only Nameserver 1 and Nameserver 2. Can I get an Nameserver 3 as an option?
Technically this is no problem, but the question is if your registrar accepts it. You must try it. Currently ISPConfig 2 supports only two nameservers.
