Falko, if you listen this message is for you, for I am disappointed about changing the file "backup.php"

I do not understand why you change this file on the fact that it worked fine before, is that in my case weighing less than 50 MB that can no longer do so, I speak of compression.

I respect your work, I do not judge, but I am sorry to talk like that, Falko, between community, but you must find a solution to the problem I have is that usually other Users of this site is.

The only thing I wish is that you find a solution to restore the version of the backup file, I hope you will find Falko, because I despair of doing in bash yet, is that for the moment it not really work.

Sorry for my anger is my frustration Falko, but hopefully that will get positive answers for you help me for this problem that weighs on me yet.

Good evening is I'm truly sorry for this mood swing of a community member.

The backup script is working fine and the changes had been nescessary. There are no reports abyout problems with the backup script except of your post here. If the backup script doe snot work, then this has a simple resaon. The script requires sudo and you have to make sure that sudo is installed on your server, as described in the release notes.

And as a personal comment, instead of writing such a pathetic post and attacking falko personally for a script that I have written, just ask for help if your system configuration is not working...

    See the release notes.

TRhe website backup function in the interface is only made for small websites as it is limited by the capability of the webrrowser to wait until the backup is finished. For larger backups, use the server based backup function which you can enable in the config.inc.php file.

You can enable the automatic backup script within the ISPConfig configuration file.
Make sure you've installed SUDO as well.
    Then everything should work fine.

Nothing on the inside of the backup

Ok, hans, but when I perform the backup is when it is ready to send in the backup directory, I can not find anything inside, is this normal?

    MM

    No, that's not normal.
To make automated backups possible please verify the following items:

    1)
Make sure you've changed the line
    $go_info["server"]["do_automated_backups"] = 0; into $go_info["server"]["do_automated_backups"] = 1;
    within the file /home/admispconfig/ispconfig/lib/config.inc.php.
If not, do so and restart ispconfig2 to reinitialise the configuraton file.
If you don't know how to restart ISPConfig2, please have look here: http://www.howtoforge.com/faq/14_34_en.html

    2)
Make sure you've installed the sudo package from you Linux distribution as the backup script make use of it.

    3)
Verify that you have defined a cronjob for the ISPConfig backup script with the command crontab -l.
There should be a line like:
    05 02 * * * /root/ispconfig/php/php /root/ispconfig/scripts/shell/backup.php &>/dev/null

    4)
Make sure that you have enough diskspace available to store your backups.
Also the content of the ISPConfig2 temp directory which is /home/admispconfig/ispconfig/temp can grow very big.
Empty this form time to time.
