http://www.howtoforge.com/how-to-install-mysql-5.6-on-ubuntu-12.10-including-memcached-plugin in this article the line scripts/mysql_install_db --user=mysql is not working for me. the error message is bash: scripts/mysql_install_db: no such file or directory i downloaded mysql-5.6.14.tar.gz and done everything upto the line "scripts/mysql_install_db --user=mysql". I am using linux mint 15 xfce which ain't supposed to have any impact on this issue i guess. i have attatched the screenshot of the problem.
