    Which distribution are you using?
    Did you check if your distribution has packages for it?

    Until recently there were not binary packages for qmail due to its licence, since it was fully opensourced some time back i do not know if the situation has changed.

    A good bet for you is to use the qmailrocks tutorial to setup your system www.qmailrocks.org
