accessing mail on iphone from lamp setup

    hello all
    i have setup my lamp server on a machine that now i need to access my mail through a mobile device, webmail works fine, but cant seem to setup my iphone to get the mails directly into the phone without opening webmail

    would appreciate any help

    Does the iPhone have any email client?

    Mail on iPhone

    Yes there is a default mail program on iphone which let's you pop or imap mails from Any server

    I have my server setup but once I try to pop it gives me an error that user not recognized

    Ssl is off

    What could it be?

    Tells us more about you setup. What mailserver are you running? Ports? etc...

    I have both pop and imap accounts setup in iPhone and they all work as they should. Mailserver are gmail and my own servers with Postfix.

    Have you tried to setup account i email program like outlook, thunderbird or mail.app. If they work there than they must work on iPhone.

    hello, am having a small problem
    i have a linux box which i use as a mail server running ubuntuserver
    i just use webmail to access my mails

    how can i setup pop access also ? as have tried popping emails from an email client it gives me an error : cannot log in: Please verify your email address, user name, and password. The information you provided is incorrect. If the error persists contact your email provider

    believe me the logins work fine while i use IMAP

    so i figured i have to setup pop, please help me
