    Hello
I have very serious problems with acpi and my laptop. I have a compaq evo n1015v with a Mobile amd athlon xp 2000+ processor. My first problem is temperature: I have two fans one located on the processor, and one used to blow fresh air into the laptop (located on the back). The latter hardly ever starts while the former starts as soon as the temperature reaches 60°C. A friend of mine, who is a debian developer, told me that is no good to have all acpi modules loaded into the kernel (pcc_acpi, sony_acpi, dev_acpi, asus_acpi, backlight) and is really weird that under the folder /proc/acpi/fan I find no file at all. So he told me to look for the proper setting in order to keep temperature low and make fans work correctly. I am no expert so I beg your help in order not to have my laptop melt.

Should you need more information just ask.
