Hello I tried to add a SPF record for one domain that I manage trought ISPConfig 3. I followed this guide http://www.mail-tester.com/spf/ispconfig3, and in the text field I added "mydomain.com v=spf1 mx -all 0", but the emails arrives to the spam folder. Is the spf record correct?
Hi Did you added the the hostname as your domain/subdomain & did you added the dot at last of the that(yourwebsite.com.) ? Br// Srijan
Did you mean like this? v=spf1 a a:mydomain.comWithPTRRecord ip4:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx -all ------------------------------- Becausem what is the PTR record? v=spf1 a a:HostnameWithPTRRecord ip4:YourRealIPOfServer -all
Hi You can check the PTR record is set in the PTRzone of the IP. If you don't use to manage the DNS PTR resords for your IP subnet, then you have to contact your ISP which have assigned the IP to you get the PTR record. Br// Srijan
In DNS zone->Records of the domain there is not PTR file, then when you say "You can check the PTR record is set in the PTRzone of the IP", what do you mean? Where I need to check this?
Thst ok. PTR records are records in reverse files, not domain zone files. Contact the ISP that asigned you this IP address and ask them to set the reverse record. This record has to be set on the dns server that is authoritive for the IP subnet and not your own server.
I asked to my provider the ptr record. I have this. I need to change the mydomain.comWithPTRRecord with this value? ------------------------- v=spf1 a a:mydomain.comWithPTRRecord ip4:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx -all
Did you asked them to set the reverse record. This record has to be set on the dns server that is authoritive for the IP subnet and not your own server. Br// Srijan
