After I installed the update, the ispconfigdb is gone, under phpmyadmin it's not visible anymore and I cannot (obvious) login at the frontend. How can I restore the database. Aurelius
You can find backups of your previous ISPConfig installation in the /tmp directory. To restore the database from the SQL dump, take a look at http://www.howtoforge.com/faq/6_4_en.html
