    Hello,
i've installed ispconfig on a ubuntu 9.10 server edition using the perfect guide provided. Everithing works great out of the box, but i still have some specific problems which i've not been able to figure out.

I know that the anonymous ftp account is disabled in ispconfig3 by default, and i can understand that i cannot offer annonymous access to 3 websites on the same ip.

However, i want to give anonymous access to our ftp for some public files. I've modified the file /etc/pure-ftpd/conf/NoAnonymous and set it to no (from yes), but now i get a 'Could not read from socket: ECONNRESET - Connection reset by peer' error. Is there any workaround for this?
we really need the anonymous account, and i will be forced to find another ftp sollution for it orherwise.

Thank you in advance for your input,
    Mihai

Enable verbose logging in pure-ftpd and check the logfiles for the reson of this problem.

    working

thank your for your quick reply!

After enabling verbose mode, i saw that i actually forgot to assign a home dir to the 'ftp' user. It worked after that.
