    Hello all,

I've just finished setting up a Ubuntu Hardy Heron perfect server according to falkkos perfect server guide, thanks so much for the tut. This is my first foray into Linux and so far has been a good learning experience. Everything works fine, websites are hosting and the teamspeak server i set up on it is running with out any flaws, however the email is still not working. By not working i mean i cannot connect to server through clients like outlook, it says that i have the wrong login or password but i've checked it multiple time and it's correct, and i cannot send/recive external email, i.e. to/from my gmail account. I've been working on this for over a week now and have read every recent thread on the topic and still no joy, so if i can get some help finishing this last step it would be much appreciated.

    Facts:

Ports 25 and 110 forwarded to server
Can telnet server with proper output
Local email, i.e. sendmail works with ISPconfig webmail addon

    last bits of /var/log/mail.log are:

    Thanks,

    Cody

I guess this is no problem with your mail system.

    1) Do you run your server on a dynamic IP, e.g. on a dsl line or cable modem?
    2) Did you contact your provider and asked them if they block port 25?
