Hi to the wonderful how to forge community!

    I have the following brief:

To start a web hosting business, using free tools, and must include hosting my own name server!

    I have registered a domain.....phoenixsupport.net
I have created name server entries at my registrar to point to my ip address
ns1.phoenixsupport.net & ns2.phoenixsupport.net and these point to my fixed ip address

    I have a fixed ip address 123.123.123.123

whois query shows my ns.mydomain.com as having the correct ip address

What I would like to be able to do is point from a new registrar of a domain straight to my dns server so I do not have to use a third party dns service like zoneedit.com (which is free but defeats the purpose of my breif).

I have installed ubuntu 11.04 and ispconfig. I have forwarded my ports 53,80,25,110 to my server and I can see websited that have domain entries from zoneedit. I can also receive email to those domains.

I cannot however type www.phoenixsupport.net and end up at my server.

    Any help greatly appreciated.
