    Hi all,
I came across ISPConfig a couple of weeks ago and it seems as though it's going to be the answer to my prayers. What a wonderful piece of software. However i have a couple of config issues which after referring to the manual (paid for !! :) )and checking loads of forum posts my post to this forum was rejected as it said I had links in it. I have only included diagnostic information from various files on the server.
If I change the output from a classic website name format to make it "www dot joe-bloggs dot com" in the output will that get round the filter. I am not interested in promoting or selling anything on this forum.

    thank you

    Kev

The answer to your problem is covered on the FAQ page I linked above, I'll quote the text here again:

    Hi Till,
I don't know why or how, but I painstakingly looked for evidence of the 2 issues you mentioned above and couldn't find any. I did, however, delete the 2 websites and recreate them. they went from Client1/Web1 and Client1/Web2 to Client1/Web4 and Client1/Web5 and both show up now with the little "Welcome to your website" banners......
I am going to experiment a little to see if I can nail down exactly what the cause is. So, if all else is mysterious try deleting and recreating the sites.
I did this as a newbie to ISPConfig. I am hoping that, with experience, I can make better judgements on how to fix broken stuff
    Thanks
    Kevin

So it's working now after you recreated the sites with exact same settings?

    Hi Till,
adding a new site i am seeing the Ubuntu default page again. This time i have more info though. I used the instructions to create /client1/web6 but my own index.html is not displayed but the Ubuntu def. page. I found that client1/web6/web/index.html is not being displayed but /var/www/html/index.html is displayed instead. I am going to start over to see if I am NOT following process properly. I will post back soonest with what I find. Thank You all.
