Can you create a reseller. Save it, make sure it saves as a reseller. Then click on edit and select a master template and click save. See it it's still in the reseller list or if it changes itself to a client. Mine does.
The templates are only for clients and not resellers. So if you apply it on a reseller, then the reseller gets converted to a client.

yes. It is the "limit_client" field. If it is -1 or > 0, then its a reseller. You can switch the client back by editing this field with phpmyadmin.
