Hi All, In the earlier version of apache I simly used in virtual host <VirtualHost *> But in the new version of apache 2.4 it is not working bi=ut the below syntax is working fine why?? <VirtualHost *:80> Please let me know the reason. Thanks in advance.
Hi Srinet, I don't know if <VirtualHost *> is an old syntax now. I know that <NameVirtualHost ...> is an old syntax and is not used any more. Actually I didn't even know that it worked the way you did it. But I guess it uses or used the default value!? Here's some great examples and maybe an answer to your question. Hope it helps you http://httpd.apache.org/docs/current/vhosts/ http://httpd.apache.org/docs/current/vhosts/name-based.html Or the main site: http://httpd.apache.org/docs/current/vhosts/
