A lot of Amazon bots are visit an website for url's that are gone already 8 years. Problem is that they make more than 700 request in 1 sec that Apache stop working. I have block already a lot of IP's in .htaccess but it's not enough, how can i blok Amazon total of the server without they use Apache resources?
I tried mod_evasive before didnt work too well for us. We ended up using CSF with some regex that you will find in the Config server Forums. Just Google it.
