I have set up a Centos box and ISPconfig 3 from a tutorial on this website, it was very well written and i though it was working fine. At the moment it is only being used as a test server so i only wanted one website on it, and this appears to be working well, there is no domain name it is just running off its IP address. However i installed Moodle on it, this went very well got it all up and running no errors, but Apache appears to just stop responding every 30 min or so when you are moving about the moodle it will stop loading i can only assume that Apache has crashed. I have checked all the logs and cant find any errors that would cause this. I am not a Linux expert so finding it a little difficult to troubleshoot this. Can some one please try and help me out / point me in the right direction and tell me what log files to be looking in. Regards, Az
I believe i have now figured out what is causing this. Monit is not working well with apache. This is what im using. When you first start the server up /var/run/httpd.pid is there, but as soon as Monit trys to view it is gone. the path of 172.16.1.98/monit/token is valid. But on the Monit apache page it shows: If failed 172.16.1.98:80%2Fmonit%2Ftoken [HTTP via TCP] 172.16.1.98:80%2Fmonit%2Ftoken is not a valid path, %2F is html for the '/' but its not working. Am i being a numpty and got some thing in the wrong place? Az
Do you have multiple vhosts on the server, or just one? If you have multiple vhosts, please make sure that 172.16.1.98/monit/token goes to the correct vhost.
Apache stops working after 20 minutes or so Apache seems to just stop working after about 20 minutes and I have to restart the service. I saw this person with a similar issue http://www.howtoforge.com/forums/showthread.php?t=49686&highlight=apache I don't know if this is my problem but I'm not sure how to go about fixing it or why it's doing this. Any help please?
Sorry it was an accident. I thought I hit new post but I hit post reply. But it was already too late. I meant to start a thread from the start instead of a reply to this old one. Thanks
