apt-get update > Maximum number of file uploads per request limited?

I'm trying to do a apt-get update and apt-get upgrade on my Debian Lenny server, but I keep getting this message!
Now how do I continue?
when I hit ctrl x it just quits....

Nop.. Did not work, but...... All I needed to do was press q (quit I guess).
After that the update(s) were done (me shamed)....
