i follow the documentation here : https://schaal-it.com/ispconfig-automail/ But this is not working , i got a blank page (we have a multi server setup, all role are on separate servers) i went to web1 server, we have ispconfig panel on it. then install plugins, it's ok i can use it on ispconfig. i create a remote user (remote allow to any) i create entry for my 3 mail servers (mail1 , 2 ,3) under "automail" then doing dns stuff, create web site (on web1 server) with ssl and snipets (nginx) website on web1 server, aliasdomain for client web site put ./websites to my web1 server (under the /var/www/clients/client1/web70/web directory) i also configure: config.php (this is not written in doc) then go to my https://autoconfig.client.com/mail/config-v1.1.xml ...got a blank page
Did you read the instructions clearly? Because the instructions are correct. Go through them again and see if you missed something.
yes i read but i have a doubt that this plugins is working with multi server setup ! if i must put the ./website directory on mail server this not good ... because mail server are not webserver ... just mail ... serveR. (and i don't want to give a test to that : i juste create website fro each client , this is working perfectly ! )
they said : "To use the ISPConfig Automail, you only need a current version of ISPConfig and a website (Apache or nginx)." One website. so i use autoconfig.hoster.com site.
it does work on multi-server. i know that for a fact. i currently have it installed on a multi-server setup. the website directory does not need to be on the mailserver. and the instructions state: this is file that you specify the ispconfig remote user details in.
my test was bad (but i always do that with manual conf , and it has always working ...) : i was testing with http://autoconfig.client.com/mail/config-v1.1-xml .... with no mail user mentionned , and this is not working ! But with : autoconfig.client.com/[email protected] it's ok ...
as you've just found out, it can't work if you test with just http://autoconfig.client.com/mail/config-v1.1-xml you're not providing it with any address to test with, so it'll return no data. also note that it still won't work with the latest versions of outlook, they've changed something in their auto config and florian hasn't had time to work out what changed and how to fix it.
