Hello everybody, I'm here again to ask for some help... I have a fully function mailserver with Debian 6.0.6 integrated with the lastest ISPconfig(3.0.4.6) and I'm trying to use the Autoresponder function. The server is configured with Courier and Maildrop. I got manage to make the fuction work, but it doensn't work all the time... I can say that really works sometimes, but most of it, doesn't. Is there a way I can track the activities or see what's going on? I'd really appreciate some help! Thanks!
Please be aware that the autorespondre software recognizes if a autoresponder has been sent to a specific address already and will not send it again. So you cant test it by sending mails againa dn again as you will just receive one answer.
Ohh great till... I didn't know that, for me it was like sending a new email everytime basis. I tested from other email and I received the autoreply message. But my main problem is actually on another emailserver that was installed following the Debian with ISPConfig 3 tutorial, except for the fact that it has MAV installed, as spamfilter. The autoreplies from the server I wrote initially are ok and this another server the autoreplies never arrive. I don't know if it's a MAV related problem... but is there a way I can really see if the autoreply is been sent and MAV or something else is blocking? Thanks till!
If this would be the case and the recipient ahs the same kind of autoresponder too, the the wto servers would send themselfs thousands of emails until the complete bandwidth is filled up. Take a look at the mail.log, you see there all outgoing and incoming emails.
till, when the MAV team installed the antispam, the mail.log stopped to be fed. The only log I have is from the MAV itself and shows all the mail traffic, but nothing related to the autoresponse. Is there another place to look? Even inside ISPConfig? Thank you very much till!
Then there must be something totally wrong or they installed a different mailserver software then postfix as postfix always loggs actions to the mail.log file. Or maybe they replkaced the lad which does the mail filtering and autoresponder with a different software. I dont know the MAV software, it might even be that ist incompatible with ispconfig in general as ispconfig uses amvisd for antispam filtering. You should ask the guys that installedyou the softeare to repair your postfix config that they broke with their install.
