I am getting a fair bit of backscatter, any advise on how best to go about sorting this out? do i need to make custom filter rules?

    cheers

Please ensure that you have not enabled to warn spam senders in any of your spamfilter policys as warning senders will cause backscatter. By default, warning of spam senders is disabled in ispconfig, so a default setup causes no backscatter mails.

Another possible source of backscatter is the use of autoresponders.

yes correct, i had enabled the virus warning, thinking that would be good to let users know that they were being sent viruses. But it opens up backscatter issues.

anyways turned it off and problem solved thanks very much.
