What is an easy meted of backup and recovery of debian perfect setup and how would I go about setting it up. I can set up another server if I need to. Is there a way to Mirer the two and have the data backup to the other server nightly.

Yes. But you might also want to take a look at these tutorials:
    http://www.howtoforge.com/linux_backuppc (file-based backup)
    http://www.howtoforge.com/back_up_restore_harddrives_partitions_with_ghost4linux (bitwise backup)
    http://www.howtoforge.com/rsync_incremental_snapshot_backups (file-based)

Stellar nstaBackup a very useful software for backing up and protecting valuable data. This software simplifies the process of data backup and is a powerful solution for both business and personal needs. It can also be used both in a networking environment and on a single machine.

I am using this software for my backup. you can have a look at http://www.stellarinfo.com/backup.htm
