I have been looking through the forum but could not find a real anwser to my question beeing a bit of a newbie here.:D

The backup process is exelent in ISPCONFIG.
It only seems to lack a restore wizzard/gui.

No problem here, it seems there are two files created.
One is from the backup dump, and the other is from the website data.

I'm using debian(sarge) and was wondering what to do next if I get the files downloaded from the backup FTP server on to a from a crash/hacked reinstalled system.

If anybody has a howto for this on a debian system I would be verry happy.
    Thanks in advance.

What files do you have in your backup right now?

    files

I have one zip file witch contains more zip files, a .dat file and .sql files.

The .zip files contain the www dir of the website.
The sql files are dums of each www's database.

What the dat file is for I don't know.

I am figuring out a stratagie for disaster recovering here.
A verry normal thing in the ICT.
So i do not have a problem right now but i am just thinking a head.

I was wondering if some had a script for this or some other howto to do this the best way.

    Some advise would be nice.

To restore your web site, you would unzip the zip file and copy back the www folder to the server. To restore your databases from the SQL dumps, have a look here: http://www.howtoforge.com/faq/6_4_en.html
