Looking for a good backup solution for an ubunut postfix server I built following the guide here. Wondering what people are using and why they like it.

We currently use Symantec Backup Exec for most things. I would like to continue to use this, but was wondering if there were better solutions, or issues using backup exec anyone had encountered.

    Thanks.

You can create your own by using a combination of always bcc and a script to append to spool files per user and then rsync these spool files to different media and then copy to DVD and send off site.

That is an interesting idea indeed.

We are looking for more of a way to be able to restore individual mail messages for users. I think we have decided for the configuration backups of domains and users to just do a mysql backup. I just want a way to back everything up without interrupting mail flow.

It should be easy to restore using either a script or a tool like mutt which can reinject mails back.
