As I notice the backup is made at the same server, so if there is crash, original and backups are gone. My ISPConfig backup to another server in a multiserver enviorement, or is there a suggenstion to a cronjob, copying the backup ton another server right after the backup is made. Rainer
Mount the backup folder from your remote backup server over the network e.g. with sshfs or ntfs. ispconfig provides hoos to run a shell script to mount and unmount a network drive before and after a backup.
