basic http auth for ISPconfig3 web interface

Discussion in 'Feature Requests' started by Justin Albstmeijer, Jul 22, 2014.

  1. Hi,

I would like to place the ISPconfig3 web interface behind basic http auth.

For this ISPconfig3 would need to accept the uid of the authenticated user if existing.
Ideally without disabling the default authentication in case no authenticated user uid was set. This for api calls for instance that will be excluded from basic http auth if originating from a trusted ip number.

Of course I will have to find a way to make Apache authenticate against ISPconfig, but lots of options there.

Does this sound as a valid feature request? in that case I will create it in the bugtracker.

    Gr, J
