Best tool, ansible or puppet ?

    I'm not using any tool yet, but plan to use Ansible. Ordered a book already. But the online docs look very good too.
    I asked a colleague about this, he has used both Puppet and Ansible, and suggested nowadays it is better to use Ansible.

    I've not used puppet.
    I have used ansible, and to be honest, the bits about using it with aws and dynamic inventories still confuses the hell out of me. but for actually connecting to a server and installing and configuring all the software, it's great.
    although I wish they'd stop changing the required syntax for some things on every update to it, that gets annoying.

    I like salt. But that may be some overkill, depending on the number of servers you have ;)

    I tried Ansible, and it was super easy after using ssh-keys. First thing was to check "mailq" on all servers :)
    Ispconfig suck at that if you have more than 1.
