there are some problems concerning the encoding (€, ü, \n, etc...). - the language editor displays no special characters - editing the lng-files is not possible with a simple vi file.lng - newlines are translated to 'n' instead of a real new lines i can provide debug information, just tell me what. thanks for the help
All ISPConfig files are utf8 encoded. The german language file contains special characters like umlauts and these files have been created with the builtin language editor from ispconfig, so this should normally work. I just tested it on my debian server with ispconfoig 3.0.3.3 and editing works flawlessly in google chrome and firefox. Editing with vi works fine as well. Maybe your server has no utf8 locales installed or you use a different ispconfig version, the version that is required for the billing module is 3.0.3.3.
- i have version 3.0.3.3 installed. - locales: Code: # locale -a C de_DE.utf8 en_US.utf8 POSIX - i downloaded the attachment (mail 5.0/OS X Lion), uploaded via ssh and unzipped the content into /tmp (imagefile, noexec). php install.php installed everything correct -except for the umlauts etc. - testing firefox 6.02 and safari 5.1, both have the same problem. edit: Code: file -i send_invoice_reminder.php send_invoice_reminder.php: text/x-php; charset=us-ascii
In which page do you see the encoding probkems? Or do you have the probelms only in the pdf invoice? And the umlauts on the other sipconfig pages are correct, so the problem is only in the billing module?
the problem is only in the billing module. however, the pdfs generated are all fine. after editing the pdf-language with the editor, the umlauts are also broken in the pdf files. edit: i see problems e.g. in the reminders section edit2: not all text elements are damaged. "neuen Datensatz hinzufügen" is fine.
Ok, I will try if I can reproduce that somehow on my servers. Please contact me by email about that issue, so that I can send you patchees or instructions on how to solve that.
