Hello everybody. I have the following scenario.: - 3 computers having openSUSE 10.3 installed on them, and a rooter to connect to the internet and between them. On one of the computer, the strongest I have installed the ISPconfig control panel following the tutorial. All got without an error. I can define sites, clients, reseller. I tried to define a new site: mytestdomain.ltd. In ISPconfig all seems ok. Except I can't access this domain in the intranet ... What could be the problem ? The ISPconfig I can access from the other computers only when using the ip-address. Trying to access the computer using the host name does not work, also trying to access any site defiend / created on the ISPconfig server does not work. Any ideea should be helpful. I need this intranet configuration to test my applications before sending them to a real server. Thank you ! Gabi
Have a look here: http://www.howtoforge.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16174&highlight=windows+hosts or you will have to set your bind server as nameser on your windows computer.
Hello Till Thank you for the answer. I know how to set up this on windows. The problem is that all 3 computers are running openSUSE, and they all connect to a rooter. So no windows involved. On the rooter I have setup a pppoe connection, and I had to enter there on the rooter the DNS servers of my ISP. Could this be the issue ? I mean ... I didn't get any errors on installation. I realy think it is a setting issue! Thank you ! Gabi
