    Hi,

I run my own nameserver and use 2 others on zoneedit.

The dns zone transfers from my nameserver to the zoneedit nameservers work only for the domain my nameserver is run on.

The remaining virtual hosts transfers say they are sending notifies but when I check using CheckDNS all other domains other than the server domain show mismatched versions of the zone files, with the ending line saying
"Check that your secondaries are set up to load zone from primary".

All nameservers show as being live. This is the only error that shows up.

Thanks for any direction. I'm sure it's a setting I just haven't run across yet.
(or run over so many times that it has blurred my vision... hehe)

    Later...

    I was wrong.

Now 2 out of 4 sites are properly updating the slaves, so a setting that is wrong is probably not the case. I was thinking the problem was with the virtual hosts but now one of them works.

I checked the pri. files that were generated and placed in the /etc/bind directory and they all look identical except for the names of the domains.

Changes in DNS records may take up to 48 hours until they get propagated to all dns caches, so you might have to wait some time.
