    Hi there,
I would like to block incoming ICMP traffic with ufw's ISPConfig firewall, but I don't find any suitable way to do this under ISPConfig web control panel.
Do I need to do this at console level? If affirmative, in which file to avoid it could break something in ISPConfig or interfere or to be overritten by any batch job.
Thanks in advance and have a nice weekend.

You can not do this via ISPConfig, you must use ufw command for that.

    Hi Till,

Yeah, that's whay I though initially, but I wanted to ask before just to confirm.

I would like the changes will be persistent, so I suppose I have to put the rules in one of these files (or both in case I also want these rules for IPv6 protocol), right?

If affirmative, do you know which one could be better to use? And will the changes be persistent after updating ISPConfig to future releases?

    Thanks again

UFW rules are persistent when you add them using ufw command.

Thanks Till. I didn't knew that detail.
I will try and if it doesn't work, I will post again in this thread.
    Have a good weekend.
