    Hello

I am building a group of small machines that will be sent to various remote sites. And from experience at times we don't get the correct IP information prior to installs.

What I would like to be able to do is to place a file with a set name and extension on to a USB memory stick, then when the machine is booted if it sees this file on the USB, it will take and apply the new config?

This would then allow us to email IP config changes to remote installers, and have them apply the changes without them needing to actually make any changes themselves.

I have seen this done before, but haven't a clue how to actually make it happen for myself?

Any helpfull information regarding this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Matt
