I'm being innundated by 100-500 of these emails an hour now. Can someone please help? I noticed that if I ping localhost.localdomain.com from my server it replies with the ip address of 66.172.91.184. This sounds like a problem with hosts file maybe?

You can try that (add it at the end). BTW, I see localhost.com in that file. Did you maybe change the hostname at some point, and was the old hostname something like localhost.com or localdomain.com?
yes, I did change the hostname but after I started having problems. I changed it from phoenix-nest.com to server.phoenix-nest.com. I have since changed it back since it didn't make any difference. I did that by changing /etc/sysconfig/network and /etc/hosts and restarting. I didn't add localhost.com. Should I remove it? Could it be something FC5 specific?

Another bit of information Whenever I receive a email from anyone, a messege is added to the mailq. As seen by running Code: postqueue -p. Each message below responds to a new received email. good call azendo! I have the same problem. I uninstalled and reinstalled postfix and it didn't make a difference. (used yum remove and then reinstalled based on perfect setup instructions)
Still having the same problem. Although I'm not getting notices anymore my queue has about 300 of these NDR's in it. Suggestions? also, what is this email address? can we maybe try to figure out what it's trying to email and why? [email protected] admispconfig is not a mailbox I created....
admispconfig is the administrative user for ISPConfig. It's created automatically when ISPConfig is installed. But I have absolutely no idea why your server tries to send to localhost.localdomain.com instead of localhost.localdomain. I guess it's some Postfix/hostname misconfiguration, but I don't know where else to look.
