Broadcom NetXtreme II 5709 and Debian 5

    Hi,
    I am trying to install debian on my server but it cannot find my network driver Broadcom NetXtreme II 5709 so during installation it shows me about 50 drivers but i cannot chosse any one of them so i pick an option to "no ethernet card" and after i am in i dont have internet and no card detected and dont know how to install this driver ... Thx For help here or advising any better distro for my server (friendly)

    In this case I'd try Ubuntu 9.10. If you are lucky, it already supports your NIC.

    Broadcom Corporation NetXtreme II BCM5708 on Debian 5

    Worked perfectly during the install of Debian Lenny on IBM System x3550

    My Friends, i tryed to install by this way, plugin a usb stick with the .deb that you mentioned with de netinst CD, but :

    1. when i have to make the partition the install assign sda to my usb stick.

    2. In reboot the grub launch a error=22 or something

    Any Idea ?

    after network is configured, before detecting disks, plug USB stick out od server.
