After reading all the appropriate written material I could on how to burn a backup recovery with the entire OS system (Kbuntu 9.10) on it, all I think I understood was that burning a copy of a disk was NOT the same as burning a .iso "mirror" data of the entire OS system and/or full backup of ALL the folders and files on it. Also that the default app in Kbuntu was not capable of doing this and I somehow had to download a special kind of software to accomplish this task (this is where I became really confused!). To anybody who can and is willing to help me, please give me a step-by-step simple answer. I am a complete newbie and to all you seasoned or experienced forum members, remember - you had to start somewhere, too. craig48
Correct, you don't want an ISO. This may be a little old, but it should help .. http://www.howtoforge.com/how-to-back-up-an-ubuntu-8.10-system-with-systemimager In most cases you don't want a complete backup of everything, usually just your /home directory (which stores all users information, files, and settings).
