Hello, Since I'm using ISPConfig for some time and liking the great work done on it, I'd like to buy the manual to support the project a little. After clicking on paying, I get the paypal page where I have to create a paypal account in order to pay. I seriously hate it when a company stores my credit card, and I heard it's the shop owner who decides if the person paying should have an account or not. Could you update this ? I'd like to simply pay without creating a paypal account. From what I read you have to do this (I don't have a paypal shop myself, so I don't know what this is worth): Connect to the shop paypal account (https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/customerprofileweb?cmd=_profile-website-payments) In this files : modules\paypal\express_checkout\paypal_express_checkout.php modules\paypal\express_checkout\process.php Change this values : SOLUTIONTYPE=Sole LANDINGPAGE=Billing Regards,
This feature is already enabled, when you are on the paypal payment page, click on the link "Dont have a paypal account" which is directly belwo the login form and you can do the payment by credit card without having to create a paypal account.
That's working indeed if you are paying from the united states, but apparently depending on the country you are from the form isn't the same. For example, I'm from France and when choosing that country I have the choice between login in or giving all my credit card info + my personal information to create an account.
It works from germany. Creating the account is optional when you follow this form "see text on the form "(Optional) Join PayPal for faster future checkout". You will have to enter your personal details off course as they are required to validate your credit acrd and they are required for the invoice that gets created.
Interesting, maybe it's an ip address feature ? Look, this is what I have for the united states : And this is what I have for germany : When PayPal asks for a password it's mostly to create an account, no problem for the USA, not working for Germany.
Yes, it might be that it is IP based, but its nothing hat we can change as I guess paypal will not recode their homepage for us. As alternative you can sign up for a howtoforge subscription and use rbs worldpay as payment provider which is a credit card processing company, you can then download the manual from howtoforge and cancel the subscription within the first month before it renews. The price is the same (5eur).
