Hi folks, I'm trying to find a not so common solution, instead of blocking youtube content or any else dynamic content like MySpaces, I want to cache it to save my bandwidth. I have a social program in Digital Inclusion in Brazil, so, if I can find a free opensource solution, better for my community, if I have to pay for it, ok, I will pay it if I can get a good payback. Can any one help finding such solution? I Know that SQUID is not very good to cache dynamic content. Thanks for all off you, you have teached me a lot
Hi Falko, sorry, but I went on hollidays and I have returned today. My digital inclusion program creates mini telecom ISP in each municipality of the Rio de Janeiro State. And as a telecom ISP I am worried about bandwidth consumption. The dinamic caching is for the same reason than a static caching, but for some dinamic content, like youtube, orkut, myspaces, hi5, etc. Lets say that, when a guy see a video from youtube the first time and he liked, he will send a link to their friends, their friend open the link and I have to download the video again. I dont want to download the video again. The same problem to orkut, myspaces and hi5. Do you know any solution that could help me? Thank Falko, and congratulation to your site
I'm not sure what solution to use, but I found a few links here: http://www.web-caching.com/proxy-caches.html
