Can I add an existing standalone ISPConfig mail server to my multiserver setup without reinstalling?

    Question:
I already have an ISPConfig master server and a separate standalone ISPConfig mail server which is live for one client.

Is it possible to add this existing standalone mail server as a node to my current setup without reinstalling and losing its current configuration, or must it be reinstalled as a slave?

If reinstall is required, what’s the recommended migration path for the existing mailboxes and domains?

No, you must reinstall (or better add a new server, as this allows you to migrate the existing one, and then repurpose or cancel the old standalone system afterwards).

    1) Add a new server to your multiserver setup.
    2) Use the Migration Tool to import the existing standalone system to the newly added server of the multiserver setup.
