    Hi folks,

    Host Debian Etch
    Vserver

Can I run Xen on Vserver guest, OS - Debian Etch or Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy? If YES, please advise whether the steps are similar to building Xen on its own virtural box. TIA

You mean you want to install Xen inside a VM? That depends on the virtualization software - some support installing VMs inside a VM, others not.

    Hi falko,

Yes, I'm considering installing a VM inside another VM.

This is a test. I'm testing VMs. Instead of testing each VM on its own pc, can I install a VM on a PC and then test other VMs on top, i.e. installing other VMs on the guests.

I'm testing VServer and expect installing Xen on top. If NOT possible I can revert the arrangement creating a Xen VM and installing other VMs, such as UML, KVM, Vserver, VirtualBox, etc. on top layer.

I know that you can install VM inside of a VMware VM, but I'm not sure about the other virtualitzation solutions...

My finding on internet, same VM on VM no problem.

On Xen mailing list a folk responding my posting saying Vserver on Xen works. I asked him where can I find a guide/tutorial but without further response.
