Can I use the debian email virtual user setup for encrypted email?

Hi all,

I currently have a LAMP setup working properly.

I would like to start serving my own encrypted email using both thunderbird/PGP and android K9/AGP

I was looking at this how to: http://www.howtoforge.com/virtual-users-and-domains-with-postfix-courier-mysql-and-squirrelmail-debian-wheezy

Would this work for encrypted imap email server?
