I have once account I can not log on to in Squirrel mail. I setup 3 email accounts. I setup forward on them. I can send mail to the accounts and get them on the forwarded mail account. So the mail is working. I went to mxtoolbox dot com and checked the mail and it is ok. I just can not log into Squirrel mail for that one domain. I have two other domains and I can log into those in Squirrel mail just fine. I can not figure this out. Help!!
mail truble When I send mail to the admin, it will redirect it to my hotmail account and there is no error messag in the mail log. I get this when trying to login to the mail. I tried to delete all the email addresses and re enter them, but it is still the same. Nothing has changed. It was working before I reloaded the server. How do I check if it will work on other email clients? I mean what is the settings to use?
corect Yes that is correct. I have 3 emails setup on that domain.admin,david,larry. what is strange is my other two domain email is working fine. Come to think of it even stocktongoodsamaritan.org is working great. it sends mail out and I get it from the forward email I setup on the accounts. I just can not log in to the squirrel mail site to send mail from the mail account. Is there a place I can look to see what settings to use so I can try another mail application? I have not changed anything think. I set it up just like before. More information: I was looking in the mail log file and I noticed that the mail going out of the domain I am having trouble loging into dose not look like the other domain mail entrys. take a look. oh! i didnt see this post before, i think ive got the same problem.. every mail account on 3 different domains work fine, but 1 acc of 1 domain doesnt.. iam unable to login via roundcube and cant fetch mails with outlook. anyway if it helps i wanted to say that i used the same setup guide
hello i tried to login again and checked my mail error log..... when logging in with correct password i get those error msg: [18-Jul-2008 03:23:00] PHP Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 120 seconds exceeded in /home/admispconfig/ispconfig/web/roundcubemail/program/lib/imap.inc on line 206 with any other pwd i get a normal error message. [18-Jul-2008 03:24:55 +0200] IMAP Error: Authentication for web2_mark failed (LOGIN): "a001 NO Login failed." in on line 0 sending a mail to the account results in this error: <web2_mark@webhost> (expanded from <[email protected]>): maildir delivery failed: create maildir file /var/www/web2/user/web2_paul/Maildir/tmp/1216345205.P2099.webhost: Permission denied and i just notified that creating new mail accounts on this domain dont work too, well i can create them but i cant access them or send emails to it. other accounts on other domains are working well! hope that helps greetings
This setup is for system users, not virtual users. How did you set up your email accounts? Manually, with ISPConfig, etc.?
I am loging into the account corectly. The diffrance in the accounts is that there is no courierimapuiddb file in the mail I am having trubble with. for some reason , when I create the site and the mail, it dose not creat this file. I think this is for the mail right? it is in the maildir in all accounts except the site I can not log into with squirrle mail. I even tried to delite the site and all mail and recreate it and still it will not creat this file for the mail. Please help me to understand what is going on here. I think the name is corect. but I tried what you told me and entered the [email protected] and then the password and it did not work. Take a look at the mail log. the web2_u1 is from another site(i can login to this mail), but look at the site I can not log into. It is the name of the email address. I was thinking it was because I did not setup the name in the email account in squirrle mail. Any think else I can look at? New info: I just checked the version of squirrel mail and I have installed 1.5.1. I think this version is not a stable version. Maybe that is the problem with this mail not working. How can I reload the correct file from the updater in ispconfig without messing up my mail accounts in the sites? Maybe it will fix this issue.
not working I tried it (web1_u1) not working. All the other accounts, I place the full email account in then the password to log into squirrel mail. Why is there no courierimapuiddb in the maildir for this domain? or dose that have nothing to do with logging into squirrel mail?
hi, i kinda had the same problem and i noticed that those .currierfiles are created within the first login on the account.
files That is why they are not created. I am wandering maybe it is the version of squirrel mail I installed may be the problem. I used v 1.5.1 . Anyone know how to uninstall the squirrel mail so I can install another version? I installed it from the update in ispconfig. It is a PKG file.
