My server is up and running. I can login internally using http://192.168.1.xx:8080.

However, I cannot login from an external ip address? I have forwarded the 8080 port on my router, both tcp and udp.

I assumed I could just login through http://71.xx.xx.xx:8080. Is that not the case? Or do I need to change some other router settings?

I don't want to forward the root domain (example.com) dns just yet, if possible.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Thats a problem with your router and not your server. I guess your router uses port 8080 for its own config interface. One solution is to use a different port for ispcofig, e.g. 8088.

    Right

    Till,

You are absolutely correct. I just tried it after a reboot and got my router's login credentials popup.

    Thanks. This community rocks.
