I know this has been addressed a million times, but I am not able to get a new WP site to connect to its MySQL DB. We are running multi-server environ with a web server and separate db server. We have numerous sites configured to access the db on the db server but a new site that has been created (and deleted and re-created several times) will not connect to the db.

I have tested connections with a php script and using MySQL from the web server to the db server. All connections work fine. Both the php script and MySQL connection use the same credentials/settings as the wp-config.php file.
Nothing in log files on either machine for the failed connections.
Customer is getting annoyed. Pulling my hair out. Any suggestions?

    Thanks.

Can you share the settings you have for that database? (remove sensitive info)

What settings are you looking for?

Could you make a screenshot of the settings of that database in the UI?

I redacted much of it, but the credentials match between this and the wp-config file. I can access the db from a est php and from the web server to the db server through myswl

Try leaving the field with allowed IP adresses empty.

I was just able to resolve the issue. Client had an error in their DNS config. As soon as I corrected it, the site came up.
Thank you for taking the time to look at this. This was a new one.

"It's always DNS", a wise man once said. Cheers!
