I have just installed ispconfig 3 on an openSuse 11.3 server. After rebooting, from outside, I can ping my server, but I cannot connect to the server using ssh. I got "Connection refused". Also, I got "The connection was reset" when I connect to the server on both port 80 and port 8080 using a browser. I have check the server from the console that the Suse firewall is not running. I can ssh or connect to port 8080 or port 80 on the server itself. My router does not have firewall, either. Can anyone help or give me some ideas on how to find out where the connection is being blocked? Thank you in advance. Wai
If you can connect to the ports locally on the server, then its a problem witha firewall or router. Please check your router settings and ensure that you forwarded all ports that you want to access from outside from your router to your server.
