How are you trying to access the site from the client?

I suspects dns, or rather lack of it is to blame. If you have not set up dns your client will not know where yourdomain.com is.

The quick and easy solution is to edit the hosts file on the client. I think the directory try is:
Windows, system32,drivers, etc... Then edit host to add the line:
    Your.server.ip. Your.domain.com

That way the client will know where to find your site.

But you can't do that to every client in the world! That's why you need dns, so everyone knows where that site is held.

Do a search on the site for name server +ispconfig + fasthosts, godaddy, schlundtech.

I'm really guessing your problem as you've not provided much detail.
