hi i am trying to chnage the hostname of my email server because hotmail treats it as spam because its name is locahost.localdomain i ran postconf -e 'smtpd_sasl_local_domain = server1.greenlight-webhosting.co.uk' and checked the man.cf and its change but telnet says it ant !!help!! i have tryed restarting the sevices help please
The setting smtpd_sasl_local_domain is is not the setting that postfix uses as outgoing domain. Please open the file /etc/postfix/main.cf with a editor an change the settings, mydomain, myhostname and myorigin.
