I have installed ipsconfig3 on debian 6 x86_64 VPS OpenVZ machine. I have purchased the ipsconfig3 manual however there is something I just can't figure out. I have all my domains listed with their own IP addresses just fine. All created via the control panel. When I tried to create email accounts for each of the domains, on the Mail screen, I can't see any of the domains created in the drop down list to chose from. I am unable to create any email account for any of the domains I am hosting. I checked directly in the ispconfig mysql database and all my domains are listed in the web_domain table. Why aren't they showing in the selection drop down for the emails? I can't afford to pay for a control panel. But so far, any of the free control panels I have tested have failed me in a section or an other. This one seems to be the mail account... Kloxo is useless with SSL certificates as it only accepts 1024 bit, not valid with most public SSL available. What are my options? The manual for ispconfig3 is nice, however not very good for troubleshooting issues like this one. I thought I could go under the hood and just create my accounts, but my Linux knowledge is a bit limited. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
You mix up website domains with email domains here. To create a mailbox, go to mail > email accounts > domain and add a email domain first before you add e mailbox. Thats described in detail in chapter 5.8 of the manual.
