Can't Hit Site From Inside LAN

    Hi,

    I installed the Perfect Server (Ubuntu 12.04, Apache, Dovecot, ISPConfig 3) on my server. I created a new site. When I went in through a laptop on my LAN, I hit the default page as expected. I then installed Wordpress on the site. Now I can't hit it from inside my LAN any longer. I can get to it fine from outside the network (like from work).

    I have the URL set up in the Hosts file on my laptop. I've tried to access it via IP and URL and I've tried every path I can think of with no success.

    Has anyone run across something like this? Does anyone have any suggestions?

    :confused::confused:

    Do you use * of the Ip in the website setings? if you use the ip, do you use the internal or external IP? In the apache config, you may use either * or the internal IP, when the site is behind a NAT router.

    Thank you for your reply.

    It was set to "*". I changed it to my internal IP but that didn't work either.

    Had you use the ISPC Port (example: 192.168.0.100:8080)?

    Also check for an Port conflict. I never used Wordpress and didn't know what ports that apps is using but, if the same port is used twice, that wouldn't work.

    Just a guess!

    btw, check your router if you can set domain names and ips there....

    that's much more useful as the router will probably be queried for dns by all computers in the lan... so you only have to setup info there
