im running debian 5 and have been for quite a few months without issue. I now have come accross this problem, if i select the gold star in the top bar to install updates it says, cant install updates another synaptic is running please wait for it to finish if i do apt-get update apt-get upgrade i get the following error E: Could not get lock /var/cache/apt/archives/lock - open (11 Resource temporarily unavailable) E: unable to lock the download directory any ideas???
