Hi , Sorry for starting a new thread for the awstats. I h ave seen that there are lots of threads regarding ispconfig and awstats, but system was not allowing me to post reply there. Now I just installed FC% on my server with ISP Config. Then i folowed the instruction from Jnsc(I think that the username) about how to install awstats. Everythins is done. Awstats is installed, It even created the log files. But when i try to see them by going to www.mydomain.com/awstats it ask for Members Only username and password. I looked into my .htpasswd file and tried the user name there, but it didnt worked. Then i created another entry in .htpasswd file(I used some online utility to encrypt the password), but still I cant login. Any suggestions??
I thought that you had to use the login details of the site you are trying to get stats on ie web1_username with the password..
Did you wait long enough? If the site is new, you must wait until 4.00h until the first statistics are created.
All the logs are created..I checked the server and logs are there...I also tried the user id web1_my domain and thats not working too....
I created newe .htpasswd file with new user and password and now I am able to log in into awstats..but now i have anothe problem...I installed squirellmail using isoconfig package system...but now i cant log in into maill...i tried using same username and password which i created for awstats cos both the systems look for .htpasswd file for authenciation.
You need to create a separate mail user in ISPConfig. See the the User & mail tab in your domain configuration.
I did created the seperated mail account, thats when i figured out that awstat and mail are using the .htpasswd file ..cos when i created the mail account..it re wrote the htpasswd file with new username and password..and deleted all the existing entries..thats why my asstats was not working..but now i have created a new htpasswd file (I kept the same username created by ispconfig for my mail) my awstats are working..but cant login into mail..
I have installed squerrilmail using the update manager of ispconfig. Last nite i installed ubeimaiu webmail also and now i am getting differtent error..if i try to access squerril mail it tels me "ERROR: Connection dropped by IMAP server. Query: CAPABILITY" and for webmail it gives me error "There were errors There were errors in the process Please login again System message: Error connecting to the server Logout"
Are there any errors in your mail log? Did you send an email to the users first before you tried to log in? Maildir is created when the first email arrives. Also, did you disable SELinux?
